Dedicated to the memory of Tony Bibb

This site is a tribute to Tony Bibb. He was much loved and will always be remembered.

Tony suffered from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), a debilitating lung condition, and sadly he passed away on the 22nd January 2019 after contracting a lung infection.

Tony's family would like to thank all those who attended his funeral on the 13th February 2019 and for the many kind donations to the British Lung Foundation.  The funds will be used for research into COPD.

We will continue to populate this site with memories of Tony, including photos and messages, and we hope that you will also contribute.

With many thanks for the love and support that you have given us,

Tony's family.

Thoughts

Mervyn and I (Colin Hill) went to Grammar School together in Cannock and I came to know Tony as we used to visit the youth club near Tony and Merv's house often in those years for some simple fun in those days. He was also a strong supporter of football endeavors and often not only watched the local professional teams but helped out and watched the amateur team Merv and I played on with some other long time friends. It is a shock to hear he passed and even though I have not seen him for the nearly 35 years I have lived in the USA those early teenage years and college years when I saw Tony often are still well remembered. He will be missed by all who met and became friends with him. Our sincerest thoughts and prayers for Tony and condolences for Mervyn and his family. Colin and Donna Hill

Wish we could attend Tony’s services. I have nothing but wonderful memories of visiting Uncle Tony, peering over the stone wall in the garden to see the horses in the field behind the house. Tony never missed a birthday and he told the best stories! Love you Tony xx

Extract from a poem by Henry Scott Holland I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant; it is the same as it ever was. Thank you ever so much for choosing to support the work of the British Lung Foundation by creating this Breath of Life Fund online tribute in loving memory of Tony Bibb. We hope that you find it a positive experience developing your page and that it becomes a place of comfort and inspiration for you to visit whenever you want or need to. It has been designed to be a truly lasting tribute for perpetuity for future generations to see.
